・ 3 cans of GEISHA CHOPPED CLAMS 6.7oz with liquid
・ Water as needed
・ 4 slices of bacon, cut into half-inch pieces
・ 1 cup chopped onion
・ 2 tablespoons of butter
・ 4 cups of peeled and cut potatoes
・ 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme
・ 9 cups of water
・ 2 teaspoons of salt
・ 1/4 teaspoon of dried thyme
・ 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
・ Salt and ground black pepper to taste
・ 1 and 1/3 cups of evaporated skim milk
STEP 1
Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and cook until clear. Stir in flour and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, for 3 minutes.
STEP 2
In a separate pot, bring clams and clam juice to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
STEP 3
In a pot, put peeled potatoes with water. Bring it to a boil and cook until potatoes become softer, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
STEP 4
Slowly pour hot clam stock into flour mixture while stirring constantly. Continue stirring and slowly bring to a boil. Lower heat and add cooked potatoes. Mix in skim milk, salt and pepper and chopped thyme.
